Whether you’re building a custom video using existing ej4 content or creating a completely custom course on Thinkzoom, you have plenty of editing options at your disposal. One of those is the ability to customize the thumbnail image for your course. This tutorial will walk you through how to replace the default thumbnail image with something more to your liking.
Currently, the default thumbnail image for a course will be whatever image is at the five second mark of the video. To change that, you’ll need to go to the source of the content.
Click on Administration and select Content Management from the drop-down options. Next, find the content you want to edit using either the search field or opening up the folder it resides in.
For this example, let’s use the course, “3 Reasons to Create Custom eLearning.” Opening this up reveals a number of options. Find and click on the Replace tab to reveal this:
To replace the screenshot with something else you must first play the video in the Preview section and then hit pause on whatever frame of the video looks like a suitable replacement.
Next, click the Replace Screenshot button to prompt this pop-up:
Click Replace to queue the changes. It may take a few minutes for the new thumbnail image to appear. When you’re satisfied, click the orange Save Content button.
After a few minutes, search for that course to see your new thumbnail image.
